Effective 1 September 2026
Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the SeaLine platform and the research services delivered through it. By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the business you represent.
1.The service
SeaLine provides commissioned trade-data research. Subscribers register Harmonized System codes, file research briefs, and receive analyst-authored reports through the dashboard. The number of codes that may be tracked and reports that may be commissioned in a billing period is set by the subscribed plan.
Reports are prepared from licensed customs, port and bill-of-lading datasets together with public sources. They reflect the records available to us for the stated period and our professional interpretation of them. They are not guarantees of commercial outcomes.
2.Accounts
You must provide accurate registration details and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.
Accounts may be used by one named individual. Sharing credentials, or systematically redistributing reports outside your organisation, is a breach of these terms.
3.Subscriptions and payment
Subscriptions are billed in advance for each period through Razorpay. Prices are stated in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes, which are added at checkout where required. There is no automatic recurring debit: at the end of a period you may renew by making a further payment.
Allowances for tracked codes and commissioned reports apply to the current period only and do not carry over. Upgrading mid-period starts a new subscription; the previous one ends immediately.
4.Intellectual property
Reports delivered to you are licensed for internal use by your organisation. You may quote from them in internal documents and in commercial negotiations. You may not resell, publish or make them available to third parties without our written consent.
The underlying datasets remain the property of their licensors. Nothing in these terms grants access to raw records beyond what appears in a delivered report.
5.Confidentiality
Your briefs, tracked codes and delivered reports are confidential to you and the analyst assigned to your desk. We do not disclose the identity of subscribers or the subject of their commissions.
6.Liability
Research is provided with reasonable care and skill. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or business opportunity.
7.Termination
You may cancel at any time from the billing page; access continues until the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable. Delivered reports remain available to you after termination unless the account was terminated for breach.
8.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai.
Questions about these terms may be sent to desk@sealine.research.
