Real records, not opinions
Every figure in a SeaLines report is a declared value, a declared weight or a count of filings. When we add our own judgement, we say so — and we name the records it rests on.
About us
The information an exporter needs — who is buying, at what price, from which competing country — is public in principle but almost impossible to read in practice. Millions of filings, misspelled names, different products under one code. SeaLines turns that mess into a clear monthly report on the products you actually sell.
We are a small research team based in India. When you open a desk, a named analyst is assigned to it — and that analyst signs every report you receive.

How we work
Every figure in a SeaLines report is a declared value, a declared weight or a count of filings. When we add our own judgement, we say so — and we name the records it rests on.
If a month has 123 filings, we read 123 filings. Sampling is faster, but it hides the small things that usually matter most: a market with one supplier, a wrongly declared weight, a shipment between related companies.
If the data is thin somewhere, we say so on the page, not in a footnote. A report that hides its gaps is asking to be misread.
Recommendations are numbered, specific and priced: an offer price, a buyer to approach, a signal to check again next month. A report that ends with "more research needed" has not done its job.
Same eight sections, same appendices, same definitions. Your attention should go to what changed, not to finding it.
Your question, your codes and your report are seen only by you and your analyst. We never resell client research or reveal who our clients are.
Working with us
Your HS codes (6, 8 or 10 digits), where you ship from, and the markets you care about. Your desk covers exactly these.
In your own words: which buyers are switching suppliers, what did competitors sell for, is this market worth a visit.
Every matching filing is pulled and read. Company names are matched up, shipments between related companies are separated out, and price levels are identified.
A PDF in the same eight-section layout, an email to tell you it's there, and a permanent place in your dashboard — even after your subscription ends.
Every report email comes from the analyst who wrote it. Reply and they answer. Follow-up questions build on the same data.
Tell us your codes and your question. We’ll tell you honestly whether the data can answer it — and if it can’t, we’ll say so.
