Privacy Policy

1.Data we collect

Account data: your name, email address, company name and country, and a hashed form of your password. We never store passwords in plain text.

Research data: the HS codes you track, the briefs you file and the reports delivered to you.

Billing data: the plan, period and amount of each payment, and the identifiers Razorpay assigns to orders and payments. Card, UPI and bank details are entered directly with Razorpay and never reach our servers.

Technical data: IP address, browser user agent and timestamps for sign-ins, downloads and security-relevant actions, kept in an audit log.

2.How we use it

To deliver the service: authenticate you, scope your desk, route briefs to an analyst and deliver reports.

To bill you and to reconcile payments received through Razorpay.

To keep the platform secure: rate limiting, fraud detection and investigation of suspected misuse.

To send transactional email — verification, password resets, report deliveries and renewal notices. We do not send marketing email without separate consent.

3.Sharing

Payment processing is performed by Razorpay Software Private Limited under its own privacy policy. Email is delivered through our transactional mail provider. Reports are stored with our cloud storage provider in encrypted form.

We disclose data where required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users. We do not share subscriber identities or commissioned research with any other party.

4.Retention

Account and research data are retained while your account is active and for twelve months afterwards, unless you request earlier deletion. Billing records are retained for the period required by Indian tax law. Audit logs are retained for twenty-four months.

5.Your rights

You may access, correct or export your data from the settings page, and may request deletion of your account by writing to desk@sealine.research. We respond to requests within thirty days.

6.Security

Connections are encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Sessions use signed, HTTP-only cookies. Report files are held in private storage and served only through authenticated, time-limited links. Access to production systems is restricted to named staff.

7.Cookies

We set only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie to keep you signed in and a token used to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Your theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage. No advertising or third-party analytics cookies are set.
