Import data by country
United States

US import data: the companies buying your product in America, and what they pay.

The United States is the world's largest importer, and its sea shipments are among the best documented. For your HS code, a SeaLines report names the US companies receiving the product, who ships to them, how often, and at what declared price.

What US shipping records show

Every sea shipment into the United States travels on a bill of lading, and the record of it names the company receiving the goods, the shipper, the product description, the weight and the port. Unless an importer has asked for its name to be kept confidential, that record is available — which is why US buyer lists are usually among the most complete in any report.

We read every filing for your code in the period, not a sample. Where the shipment also appears in the exporting country's customs declaration, we add the declared value, which is what turns a list of buyers into a price you can quote.

An example from a real report

In December 2025 our vanilla assessment (HS 0905.10) found Indonesian bulk beans selling to a US food manufacturer at $49.50 to $54.71 per kilogram. Ugandan beans reached a comparable US buyer at $28.18 to $32.14 — about forty percent less, because of where they came from, not their grade.

The report's advice to a seller was specific: price Indonesian bulk at $49 to $52 per kilogram for US food manufacturers, and don't benchmark against the Ugandan prices. Below $45, a seller is competing on Uganda's terms.
